Beitunia rises about 820 metres above sea level, with a total area of 23,366 dunums, of which 1,750 are planted with olives. It now connects to Ramallah, especially through the industrial zone, and borders Rafat, al-Jib, Beit Duqqu, at-Tira, Beit ‘Ur al-Fauqa and Ein Arik.
The old town keeps the village’s earlier plan in its quarters: al-Faluja, which still shows the old character in its buildings, shops and mosque, and al-Ajajra near Ras Ya‘qub by the municipality.
Each quarter keeps a family name or a story, so walking through Beitunia is reading the town’s own register.
