Story of Awarta: eight kilometres south-east of Nablus

A town 8 km south-east of Nablus with 7,054 residents in 2017, a built-up area of 540 dunams and a village council.

Awarta was an important Samaritan centre between the 4th and 12th centuries, and its old shrines and tombs keep that history alive.
