Story of Al-Badhan: springs and orchards on Talouza land

An area north-east of Nablus administratively part of Talouza's lands, with 15,000 dunams, known for its springs and orchards.

Al-Badhan is part of the lands of Talouza village, together with An-Nassariya and Al-Far'a, but it later became known as a village in its own right. It lies north-east of Nablus and covers about 15,000 dunams.

Local tradition says it was named after a military commander called Badhan who settled there after seeing its orchards and springs. With its water, Al-Badhan remained a vegetable and fruit basket for Nablus.
